Here are Gamespot's impressions of the Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer that was shown today at TGS 2010.

The Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer was part of a series of incredibly brief trailers that showed images from Final Fantasy XIII as well as Final Fantasy Agito XIII. We saw the main character, a young man with short black hair wander through several completely deserted areas. First it was a barren landscape, then it switched to a deteriorated roadway, and eventually we see him in the city, where it was just him fighting a giant behemoth. The quick fight scene showed him jumping and slashing furiously at the beast. Any hint of color or life in the trailer was limited to the spurts of red blood, coming from the behemoth, which stood out against the mostly dark and grey environment. There was nothing else on screen that would give us any clues as to how this game is set up other than it looks to be a 3D action game.

Since Aya Brea in The Third Birthday will be able to wear Lightning's costume, it's only fair that Lightning in Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy 012 should wear Aya Brea's costume as well... Right?

In The Third Birthday, a scan shows Aya Brea wearing Lightning's outfit from FFXIII as one of the many costumes that she will be able to wear in the game.

In case you haven't noticed by now, a new Dissidia Final Fantasy game is in the works and it has been revealed that Lightning will be a playable character. The scan below shows Tetsuya Nomura's concept of Lightning.

Some details from Famitsu reveal that Lightning is able to switch Paradigms with L and R and she is able to use the Command, Ravager, and Medic roles too.

In December, Square Enix will be releasing a series of small FFXIII PVC figures. They're not really movable compared to the bigger Play-Arts figures but you can get a box of them $60US. However, being randomly-packed PVC figures, you may not get all five figures in the one box.

An off screen camera recorded the Final Fantasy XIII International trailer. The trailer does not appear to have any new scenes, and is basically a shorter version of the English promotional video, however this trailer also has Japanese subtitles.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII Director, Tetsuya Nomura decided to respond to angry fans on twitter about VERSUS platform status after the recent announcement of "Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360 in Japan" just take a look below at what he has to say about it:

"Multiplatform is when you start development on a game with the assumption of optimizing for multiple platforms. Porting is something that's done after you've developed a game specifically for a particular platforms. The debate over porting is decided by the management based off the current market and the costs. All I can say right now as a developer is that Versus is being developed specifically for the PlayStation 3."

FFXIII is being renamed "Final Fantasy XIII Ultimate Hits International" for its Japanese Xbox 360 debut. The game will arrive on December 16, priced at ¥4,980.

The "International" part of the name is explained by what exactly 360 owners will be getting on the disc. The 360 version will ship on three DVDs, the same as its overseas counterpart. The game will be playable exclusively with English voices. Subtitles will be freely selectable between Japanese, English and European languages. The theme song will be the overseas "My Hands" song from Leona Lewis.

Square Enix has announced just one content change for 360 owners. The game will include an "Easy Mode" which adjusts the balance of battle, making things easier for players who want to get through the whole story.

The other new features for the 360 version come in the form of a first print run bonus item, a booklet called "Final Fantasy XIII Corridor of Memory." This includes the following:

Visual Art Collection
A collection of all the high quality key visuals that were used domestically and abroad.

Final Fantasy XIII Unused Event Scenes
A look at event scenes that were cut from the final game. Square Enix has also included the script for these sequences.

Final Fantasy XIII Episode i
A newly created after story to the Final Fantasy XIII story, presented as a novel. The novel tells what happened to Lightning and all after the game.
